Mrs. Joann Holes

Fourth Grade

Mrs. Holes has been teaching at MOSS since 1991. During that time she has taught 4th grade, 5th grade and the 4th/5th grade multiage program. Mrs. Holes has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Cali-fornia State University and has done graduate work at the University of Pittsburgh, St. Francis College and Seton Hill University.

In Social Studies, 4th graders are learning about the 50 states through songs. The class has been using mnemonics to help learn the capitals for each state and working on Readers Theater to learn facts about the states. For Advent, stu-dents are making calendars and chains of special prayers and good deeds to prepare for the coming of Jesus.
